„…o vjetru,letu i pokretu!“
Iz ciklusa „FRONTALNI TAM-TAM“ razvio se niz radova nadograđen digitalnim medijem. Ovaj koncept je nova ideja i prvo predstavljanje kompozicije skulpture ženskog torza u tehnici papier mache sa fotografijom obrađenom ili stvorenom u photoshopu.
Umjetnost likovnim tehnikama i temama uvijek korespondira sa vremenom u kojem stvara. Vizualno ju smještamo u vrijeme nastajanja. Naše je vrijeme vrijeme tranzicije, miješanja tradicije i novih medija, propitkivanja porijekla i prihvaćanja globalizacije. Ovo je koncept spoja tradicionalnih tehnika i digitalnog medija. Moje je stvaralaštvo tematski podijeljeno u ciklusima koji se međusobno prožimaju. .
U svom stvaralaštvu dajem naslutiti da mi je polazište inspiracije esencija poimanja dizajna kao dekorativnog doživljaja nakon čega se udaljavam od očekivanog i iznosim emotivne doživljaje koje kompozicijom, materijalima, bojama i taktilnošću pretačem u umjetničko djelo neprimijenjenog karaktera.Čipka i tkanina su uvijek tu prisutni da ukrase i daju senzibilitet, podsjete na porijeklo i Slavonsko stvaralaštvo. Od tradicije do modernosti. U površinama skulptura torza osjeća se inspiracija zemljom, reljefom i pukotinama nastalim sušama. Koloristički i taktilno osjeća se podneblje koje me prožima, kojem pripadam genetski i emotivno.
Digitalni medij brushevima prati emotivno stanje, doživljaj vjetra i pokreta, miris zelenila, mahove ptica. Osjeća se tektonika materijala i korespondencija sa prirodom. Kada nas zemlja nahrani svojim plodovima ostaje nam priroda da ju osjetimo i „spremimo“ u emotivne pretince.
Tijela su u mirovanju sa željom za kretanjem. Kao da promatraju pokrete oko sebe i spremaju se za let. Postoji želja da se organski stope sa krilima, da osjete vjetar, let i pokret. Tema je asimilirana iz osobnog života.

From a cycle „FRONTAL TAM-TAM“ a series of works has been developed and upgraded with digital medium. This concept is a new idea and the first presentation of a composition of the sculpture of female's torso in technique papier mache with a photograph processed or created in Photoshop.
Visual art's techniques and topics always correspond with the time in which they are created. Visually, we place them in the time of creation. Our time is the time of transition, of blending tradition and new media, making enquiries about origin and accepting globalization. This is a concept of coupling traditional techniques and digital medium. My creativity is divided in cycles according to topics that are interpenetrated.
In my creative endeavour I give a hint that the starting point of the inspiration is the essence of understanding design as a decorative experience. Afterwards, I depart from the expected and present emotional experiences that I translate with composition, materials, colours and tactility into a work of art of unapplied character. Lace and fabric are always present here to decorate and give sensibility, remind of origin and Slavonian creativity. From tradition to modernity. In surfaces of the sculptures of the torso one can feel inspiration with soil, relief and cracks that occur after draughts. Colloristically and tangibly a climate is sensed that has imbued me that I belong to genetically and emotionally.
Digital medium with brushes follows an emotional state, the experience of wind and movement, the scent of green vegetation, birds flapping with their wings. It is possible to feel the tectonics of materials and correspondence with nature. When the earth has fed us with its fruits, what remains is nature to feel it and to „put it away“ into emotional drawers.
Bodies rest but wish to move. As if they are watching movements around them and get ready for flying. They wish to form a union with wings, to feel wind, flying and movement. The topic has been assimilated from personal life.

Vesna Kolobarić „…o vjetru, letu i pokretu!“
Možemo li vjerovati naslovu koji kaže da će umjetnica ovdje govoriti „… o vjetru, letu i pokretu!“, ili ih ona samo sanja, želi, moli za njih, ali oni – ne dolaze?! Osnovni je dojam da se sve njeno događa duboko dolje, gdje nema vjetra, leta i pokreta u svakidašnjem značenju tih riječi. Istina je da smo njom u podzemlju, u arheologiji ideje koja joj ne da mira, a koja se pojavljuje na desetke načina kao tiha „vojna formacija“ otvorena našoj potrazi za smislom te umnožene slike. Sve se čini jednostavno: iz zidnih „slika“ i podloga izranja impresivni broj ženskih torza kojima je autorica namijenila ulogu pripovjedača „tihe priče“ čiji sadržaj, međutim, moramo sami odgonetnuti. To neće biti teško, ali niti do kraja izvedivo!
Torza su ženska, nema u njima ničeg muškog, pa je logično misliti o njima kao o ženskom subjektu i njegovoj misli. Kakva je ta misao? Upućena je svemu svijetu, ali se napadnim odsustvom naznaka suprotnoga spola odgonetava upravo kao misao o njemu - ne do kraja, i ne samo o njemu, ali svakako o njemu. Sve što je isključeno, govori, naime, o sebi kao da je prisutno. Daje nam ključ za odgonetku. Upućuje na važan sloj priče. Na odnose čiji sadržaj valja očitati iz onog prisutnog. Torza su oblikovana od mljevenog papira, tehnikom papier-machea. Mrkih su, prigušenih tonova; mutno siva su, crna, zaprljana. Čine se natrula! Takav torzo je tijelo koje reagira. Ono reagira na sve oko sebe, iz svog ženskog subjekta, postajući paradigmom rodno/spolnih konstrukcija, ali i odnosa prema prirodi/pejzažu, kulturi kao konstruiranoj, a ne dobivenoj, zatečenoj stvarnosti. Iz teških površina torza izbijaju podzemne poruke.
Izbočeni volumeni torza svom snagom umnažaju osjećanja. Umjetnica temeljenom materijalu za torza - mljevenom i kaširanom papiru - dodaje cement, zidnu boju, zemlju, zrnca iz filtera za vodu, narezane niti konca… Tako svaki put dobiva drugačiju površinu torza. Drugačiju likovnu poruku. Taj pejzaž torza, ta „terra incognita“ polako pulsirajući otkriva autoričin emocijski ekvivalent - temeljno taman, ali ispitivački znatiželjan i borben.
Otkriva svoju snagu. Nastoji iskoristiti staro pravo umjetnika da se služi svim sredstvima kako bi iskazala intenzitet emocije. Osnovnom tijelu torza na nekim mjestima dodaje emocijski neusporedivo toplije ekvivalente - čipku, ready made predmete, perje, lemljenu čipku od žice, guste namaze ljepila, niti rafije, predivo, konac, til, fasadna i vrtna tkanja… Sve ih sabija na rubove „tijela“ koja nose tragove čovjekove odluke da prirodu prilagodi sebi, da (rodno/spolnu) kulturu podredi egu, da iznevjeri pozitivnu civilizacijsku putanju. Upravo zato važan je svaki trag uzlazne energije čija spremišta nalazimo u elementima crvene boje, žute boje sunca, zelene i narančaste. Nabori tila i prediva ovješenog s perjem, dinamiziraju prizor. Tijelo koje je zastalo, izašlo je iz svoje nevoljne statičnosti!
Cjelokupni njegov ukrasni, tekstilni, a u naznakama i modni vokabular pojačava intenzitet jednog te istog hipnotičkog raspoloženja. Tijelo je spremno na let! Na njegovoj monokromnoj fasadi, svaka je nit, pa i ona čelična, životvorni detalj. A svaka tkanina puna je magije poput kamenih nabora haljine Nike iz Samotrake izgledom tako tanke da se tijelo božice nazire ispod nje. Kod Vesne Kolobarić, čak se i oskudni (tekstilni) detalji na podlozi teške pustoši torza čine božanstvenima u svojoj snazi da slave život.

Can we trust a title that says that the artist will speak here „… about wind flying and movement!“, or she only dreams about them, desires them, prays for them, but they – are not coming?! Basic impression is that everything of hers happens deep down, where there is no wind, flying and movement in everyday meaning of those words. It is true that we are in the underground with her, in the archaeology of an idea that makes her unpeaceful, and that appears in dozen ways as a silent „military formation“ open to our search for the meaning of that multiplied picture. Everything seems simple: an impressive number of female torsos emerges from wall „paintings“ and bases to which the author assigned the role of a narrator of a „silent story“. However, we have to decipher its contents by ourselves. That will not be difficult, but neither achievable to the end!
Torsos are female, there is nothing masculine in them, and it is logical to think about them as a female subject and his thought. What is that thought? It is sent to the whole world, but with striking non-existence of signs of the opposite gender, it is deciphered precisely as a thought about it – not to the end, and not only about it but surely about it. Everything what is excluded, speaks, in other words, about it as if it were present. It gives us a key for solving a riddle. It refers to an important layer of the story. To relations with contents that should be read off from those present. Torsos are sculpted from grounded paper, with technique of papier-mâché. They are of dark, smothered tones; they are opaquely grey, black, dirtied. They appear slightly decayed! Such torso is a body that reacts. It reacts to everything around it, from its female subject, and is becoming a paradigm of gender/sexual constructions, but also of relations towards nature/landscape, culture as constructed, and not received, reality found by chance. Underground messages gush out from difficult surfaces of the torsos.
Protruded volumes of the torsos multiply emotions with their strength. The artist adds to basic material for torsos - grounded and papier-mâché - cement, paints for wall, soil, granules from water filter, and cut-ready threads of the rope… In this way, every time she gets a different surface of a torso. A different art message. That landscape of a torso, that „terra incognita“ pulsates slowly and unveils the author’s emotional equivalent – basically dark, but questioningly curious and fighting.
It discovers its strength. It attempts to exploit an old artist’s entitlement to use all means to express intensity of the emotion. In some places, she adds to basic body of the torso emotionally incomparable warmer equivalents - lace, ready made objects, feathers, weave of wire in soldering technique, thick impastos of glue, bass fibres, yarn, thread, tulle, facade- and garden weaves… She compresses them all to edges of the „body“ that carry traces of man's decision to conform nature to him, to subordinate (gender/sexual) culture to ego, to abandon positive civilization-course. It is for this reason that every trace of ascending energy is important. We find its repositories in elements of red color, yellow color of the Sun, green and orange. The folds of tulle and yarn suspended with feathers, dynamize the view. The body that halted, has come out from its unfortunate static quality!
Its entire ornamental, textile, and in denotations also fashion vocabulary increases the intensity of one and the same hypnotic mood. The body is ready to fly! On its monochromatic facade, every thread, even the steely one, is life-giving detail. And every fabric is full of magic like stony folds of Nike of Samothrace that appears so thin that body of the goddess is discernible under it. In Vesna Kolobarić's work of art, even scanty (textile) details on basis of ponderous desolation of the torso seem heavenly in their power to celebrate life.
